Yan/a Bondar is an artist from Augusta, GA. They graduated with their MFA in Ceramics at The Lamar Dodd School of Art: University of Georgia and BFA from Augusta University. Their work has been selected and exhibited in multiple galleries throughout the southeast with several solo and group shows in this region. They were selected to exhibit in the ArtFields annual festival at Lake City, SC in 2025 and 2021. Residencies include the Elf School of the Arts 2025 Summer Residency in Printmaking and Penland School of Craft 2022 Winter Residency in Ceramics. Yana lead a workshop, “Impossibly Beautiful - Moveable Porcelain Dolls” at John C Campbell Folk School in October 2025 and will be leading this workshop again in April 2027.

Currently Yana teaches Ceramics, 2D and 3D foundations part-time at both Augusta University Department of Art and Design and USC Aiken.

Yana’s work draws from experiences as a neurodivergent, nonbinary, queer person with the residue of a catholic background.

Their most recent body of work will debut in a solo show titled “Affirmation Sacraments” in August 2026 at the USC Upstate Gallery in the Chapman Cultural Center in Spartanburg SC.
